Jason is a former No. 1 singles and doubles player at Gettysburg College, PA, where he majored in economics and business management. During summer breaks, he was the assistant pro at the Wilton Riding Club in Wilton CT. After college, Jason began his successful coaching career working with players of all levels at prestigious clubs, namely, the Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in FL and the Vintage Club in CA. He went on to coach Bethanie Mattek-Sands for 18 months, helping boost her WTA ranking from 154 to 30. He moved over to the ATP side and coached Artem Sitak from 940 into the top 300 in the rankings. Then he coached Roman Borvanov from 350 into the top 200. Currently, Jason is a consultant to players and coaches.
